Mont Reaga is located in a traditional vineyard growing area in Castilla La Mancha (Cuenca), under the DO La Mancha and Protected Geographical Indication Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla.


It is an extraordinary winery that combines technique and the highest quality in all its production processes.….

Mont Reaga is a model of environmental protection since its construction and operation have taken into account all aspects related to respect for our natural environment.

The farm has 130 hectares of land, surrounded by a beautiful landscape with vineyards and cereals. All this crossed by a small river that acts as a temperature regulator in summer and at the same time forms a unique ecosystem for its richness in plants and animals.


An ideal place for a picnic in the middle of nature and surrounded by the magic of the world of wine.


Varieties

Spanish and international


In Mont Reaga, traditionally Spanish varieties (Tempranillo, Verdejo and Moscatel de Grano Menudo) as well as other international varieties that have adapted very well to the climate of our region and farm (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc) are grown.


One of the challenges in these warm lands is to preserve the appropriate acidity that gives the wines freshness without reducing maturity, which gives an explosion of aromas, color and power.

Techniques

Harvests at the optimum moment


In the vineyard we carry out winter and spring pruning, together with harvest limitations carried out in summer. These processes allow us to obtain the highest quality of grapes for our wines.


Night harvests at the optimum moment of grape ripening which, together with the manual selection of the same, we manage to eliminate leaves and scrapes, thus allowing us to make the wines only with the best grapes.

Elaboration

Color, aroma and flavor


After selecting the grapes, they are introduced into our latest generation stainless steel tanks, where fermentation and maceration are carried out, in which we extract the color, aroma and flavor so particular of our wines.


The production room has 20 stainless steel tanks and a truncated cone structure with a capacity of 25,000 liters.


Breeding

Elegant and round wines


At Mont Reaga we use 300-liter barrels, medium toasted French and American oak with a maximum life of 4 years. These barrels provide our wines with everything necessary to make them long, smooth, fine, elegant and tasty, where the variety of the grape and its fruit is the protagonist.



In addition, at Mont Reaga we use 1,500, 5,000 and 10,000 liter vats to carry out slow aging, making the wines more elegant and round in the mouth.
